Long Time No Blog...

Well it has been a long time but there was nothing to blog about until now. I got an audtion piece about a month ago and audtions are now tomorrow. We are going to Lewis and Clark from 10am to 4pm. Long day and full of information. We will have auditions for parts, meet with our bus co-ordinater, ask questions and get all the information we will need. There are only two months until Europe and I am getting very excited. Tomorrow's meeting will be very good and much needed to clarify all things for the trip.
So long for now and I will let you all know what else I find out!

Bentley the Bear

I am selling bears through Avon. They are $20.00 each and I will get $10.00 for every bear. Once I am done selling the bears, I will be donating them to the Kinship House. They focus on helping children and families during all stages of the foster care and adoption process. I personally have not been yet but Ricky and my parents go and it seems like a wonderful place. It's Official..I'm going to Europe

I sent in the check a couple weeks ago and just got the letter confirming that I had paid the amount needed. I am still doing more fundraising to get the full amount or somewhat closer but for now I am borrowing from mom and dad. So it is official. I am going to Europe next summer and I have paid my amount needed!!

UH-OH

I got a letter in the mail a few days ago from Voyeguers. The good news is I have many sponsers and have raised a little over $1000.00. The bad news is that I have exactly one month to come up with a total of $4095.00. So I have to come up with less than $3000.00 in one month:( BUMMER! Please pray and hope that I will come up with this amount in time and maybe I will still get money next summer. I am thinking since I didn't give my sponsers a deadline some will come in right before the trip...hopefully:)

Oh the countries I will see...

While in Europe I will be visiting 7 different countries; England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, and Germany.

In England, I will be in London and see the changing of the guards, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and the English Channel.

In France, I will go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and a boat ride on the River Seine.

I will get to see the Switz Alps, Castle of Chillon, and an all-day train trip to see the Matterhorn in Switzerland.

Liechtenstein: one of the world's smallest countries. I will visit the Rhine River and a royal castle.

In Austria, I will go to Seefeld and Innsbruck.

I will take a full day across the Brenner Pass to Venice, Italy and the Grand Canal.

And last Germany, where I will visit historic Duchau or Munich.

This is only the short list of places I will go. Some of these places I have never even heard about and to think that in eleven months I will be home with so many experiences in these places. And the best part is that while half way around the world, I will get to perform my music with others. That is what makes this trip so much better. To be in a strange place but have a common ground with others. In my case it is music:)

11 Months

Exactly 11 months from today I will be returning from my European Music tour. I got nominated by my music teacher, Mr. Brooks, to go on Oregon Ambassadors of Music 2009 European Tour. Only about 200 students get nominated to go. This tour will take place from July 3, 2009 to July 18, 2009. I will get to visit 11 countries in 16 days. It will be a world wind trip, but an amazing adventure. I have paid my $500.00 to secure my spot on this trip and am very excited. A good friend of mine is also going with me, which will make the trip that so better. The trip is about $5,000.00. A lot of money, which is why I am raising money. So far, a month into raising, I have gotten about $800.00. So far so good.
In this blog I will share how close I am to the trip, preparation for the trip and pictures and stories after my trip.
